Sheeeeeeeeeeeiit...who cares what you show up in. Christ, if those cubans can rig a 51 Chevy and make it 100 miles acroos the ocean, I would hope that some of you could at least rig up on old fiberglass bathtub with A Suzuki 140 on it and a few Seacraft decals and come flying in to Newport harbor!!

We're still way behind schedule for Saturday but there is still a 20% chance she'll be there dirty and stinky and all - Otherwise I'll be arriving in a Green Silverado ...

Got 90% of the wiring done, half of which is temporary pending not know what engine will be on it in 2 weeks , got a bunch of parts due tomorrow afternoon, got a few things to rig up still - Radar / Ducer / Radio. Fire up the motors and maybe Saturday morning do the Sea Trial then make the shin dig in the Seacraft or the Silverado

Hey John R-

Wire up the radio, a bilge pump or two, and one engine and forget the rest of the stuff till after the gathering. Just make sure you have lots of bait and your TOWBOAT US memberhsip is up to date.

Don't ask where I went on my maiden voyage last year after I brought the Mako home from Florida.....dumbest thing I ever did.

The best way to keep wasps out of the hull is to USE IT.

On a moon drop with an east wind blowing, I stay up river...thank you, very much. Call me chicken, but during those conditions the Merrimack River inlet is very bad....add a ground swell to the equation and it is absolutely insane.

Ed and I will be on his boat and will be monitoring 72 if that's the channel. We're meeting at the boat ramp around 9:30 and will meet up with Jason shortly thereafter. We were going to fish before hitting the Jazz Fest, but we won't be down there early enough to make it worthwhile. My cell # is 781-264-3982. I have Ed's cell # but don't want to post without his permission.

Scott & Ed - have room for one more? Another day and I might have been ready, almost certainly two days and it would have been doable.. Had we just had better weather for the past 2 weeks....

Anyway, Ed & Scott if there is room, I know where the bass WERE earlier in the week

John,
If you know where the fish are (or were) I'm pulling rank on Capt. Ed and inviting you myself!

Ed - sorry man, but if he knows the scoop, he's in! Just kidding. He'll be calling you shortly to see if there's room.

Hey John-

You're definitely welcome to join Scott and I on my boat. We'll be meeting at the boat ramp tomorrow am around 9:30. My boat is a Mako 231 with "trident" painted on both sides of the console.

I checked over my boat today and everything checked out a-ok, except for the damn gas gauge. I'll just top of the tank before I splash her.

I also picked up two bags of fresh herring and they are in the cooler on ice.

JASON- what would you like me to bring to the Mako gathering tomorrow? BEER, DOGS, BURGERS, HERRING or should I just catch a tuna and throw it on the grill????????????

Anyone know what the weather report is tomorrow for Narragansett Bay? I am wondering if I should bring my bow dodger????

Oh yeah....my cell phone is 617-816-6981.
