We will be around Anclote on the 4th, chasing grouper weather permitting and hanging out at my buddies houseboat.

Your squids are having a great spring. Tall corn indeed. Very nice

Ken- yea it does feel a little like a gathering weekend . Have a great time, but keep a spot open for later this year. Ft. Desoto is 6 months out for reservations still! Changed the VRO pump.... And now the perko switch died. 1 yr old batteries fully charged not getting any juice to motah. Switch was already very hard to turn, so hopefully that solves the mystery. With a couple axles and hubs I will not have any gremlins for a while hopefully.

We're due for an Egmont run now that the weather settled

Anclote tomorrow - Susan's dying to see how the storm moved the sand around

I hate electric - wouldn't know an OHM if it bit me on the ankle - I will say though get a 12V tester with the ice pick end $5 - make a wire long enough to go from a known good ground like the battery even and you can trace down power easy. Only works on little stuff but very helpful, I even carry one on the boat for bilge pump, bait pump or light issues, saves a day sometimes.

re- read your post above, I hate to bring this up but - based on that boat, there might some connection between the helm and the motor its a long run. I would go get that tester though, you could find out if power is getting anywhere back there - start at the front at the key and switch, try and follow the power back - you will lose it somewhere and it then will be in between. Sure helps narrow the search down. Might even be a bad key switch, thats why I said start the front.

Isolate and Eliminate
