Great shots Ken! Great weekend and plenty to do...........With my sister, brother and his wife, their 3 kids, and my parents and their 18SF down for the day on Friday and my parents back Sat. night back down the ditch from Jupiter on the 18! Good times! The kids snorkeled around the lagoon Friday with Briguys son Jack. Sat. we dove the south inlet ledge with Denny and saw a lot of fish and then we fished the reef right next to the Blue Heron Drift Boat with no luck, so we started trolling Bally with skirts and got both both boys on good sized bonitos anyways!

Great crew with Ken and Patti, Carla and Skip, Dixon and Susan, Denny, Don, Sandy, and Brian and Kimberlee.

Here are my pictures:

Sunrise over Singer Island

Sunrise with Sailfish Marina in shot

Anchorage with my 18SF, Dixon's 20MA, and Ken's 20SF

Don V's nice 23SF

GFS's quality 20SF

Corbin and Ansley are watching Jonas reel in the bonito.

Danny, Thanks for the complement on my old clunker 23SF. It's less than one month from her 33rd birthday. Hull 007, July 1978. Notice she's proudly showing her "Antique Vessel Sticker"

Thanks Matt.

I am having trouble with my G D card reader. @#$%^&*

We could turn that island into a sweet resort, but as it is now, I would only make videos for TV. Lots of them.

What means the most to me about these gatherings is the sharing of friendship and knowledge. This time I learned that I was woefully unprepared and I should not shirk the cooking off on Janet while I spread varnish. My mistake.

I think I lost a nice Wahoo on my 4/0 early Sunday. Kings and Tuna scream drags but Hoo`s make them sing like nothing I`ve ever heard. That`s why we go out.

Why does one diesel raise more fish than others?

Tough day on the radio.

When you see Capt Greg Bogdan putting his clients on Bonita with his Conch, that`s tough.

I still want that boat.

Cheers,
GFS
Lots to follow, but Janet has to fly tomorrow.

Yes, it was a great time ... And like GFS stated, it's the friendships that make it so special.
As usual, we feasted like royalty and yet pigged out on DonV's dolphin fingers and hush puppies.
Thanks Ken & Patti for the ride on NoBones, and to everyone for bringing some great food.

Wish Julie and I could have been there. Maybe we can make the Friday party during the lobster season gathering if it happens again this year.

We did have a great time, a little warm at night but it wasn't bad as we adapted. We will go back maybe at a slightly differenet time but a neat place.

A little drama after everyone else got away, after you got the wheel barrow it never came back for an hour. The guy that blows off the sites and rakes them says we have to get our stuff off the sidewalk - we're waiting for the wheel barrow. After discussing this issue with the park girl - nicely it shows up with another load - and she lets them walk past again @#!@#$%. Now the head guy stops by and we make the same plea that this is beyond... to not have the wheel barrow - its like 12-30. Now the gardner guy shows up at the pavillion with the blower - I'm down with the park girl - he starts in that "she just has to get out", of course that is rsponded with - we want too just need the wheel barrow - " just get out" - not the correct response after an 1.5 hrs - got very ugly after that.

I have been on that end trust me - the park girl got an ear full, I then went and got the boat in a slip to load it sometime - they then showed up with it at 1 something as I got tied up- she then follows them down and informs me I can use it - I informed her that " I saw it and it was not leaving the dock again without me, thank you very much though" - at about 1-30 we got loaded and were off to trhe sandbar. Finished the afternoon at the sandbar until 4 and it was great, nice weekend all in all, maybe not so much for what his name, which she found out - she was seriously pissed - not a good place to be, been there done that - just say'in

I shot off an email today to the Palm Beach P & R Dept.
voicing our displeasure over the dockage, wheel barrow
and other minor issues that they have. It was straight to the point with my professional opinion on how to correct these problems.

Now you are probably asking yourself what qualifies ole'
Ken how he offered his corrective suggestions.
Well, glad you asked!

In my past life I spent 11 years on the County of Volusia's
Port Authority..
Ending my tenure as chairman in 1999. This was a political appointment originally by the Governer of Florida.

This was a non paying position!

Our budget was about $2 mill a year and during the course
of my service we completed over $30 mill in joint projects.

Our duties included, boat ramps, parks, piers, artificial
reefs. inlet restabilization, Redfish restocking, captive Snook breeding, etc, etc.

So there you have it...

Lets see if the powers to be come back with a response.

See ya, Ken
