Not sure if anyone coverd this but II would highly reccomend a small stern anchor, the way the current moves through there it defintly helps keep movement to a minimum.

A stern anchor is a very good idea.

You both are correct and they should be pretty good and with a decent amount of line, 50' should be OK on the stern. The currents aren't that strong but with shifting wind and currents you want it staying out.

This gathering is such a great idea. It is also a good motivator to do all those last minute projects in our boats.
I spent about 6 hours tinkering around. Here is what I completed this weekend. Replace bilge pump with all new heat shrink terminals. Tie wrap and hang all wires neatly in the bilge area. Remove and replace wing nuts on 3 batteries to clean terminals. Remove old Leica DGPS no longer needed. Remove under console lighting that no longer worked. Buy new life jackets on sale at West Marine. Tighten each and every nut, bolt and screw. Check oil in 4 strokes, visual engine check, lower unit oil check. Replace Raycor elements. Squirt Corrosion x on underside of Accon Pop ups. That's about it. The list of "to do's" is growing. I may come up Friday rather than Saturday. I am really really excited. Can't wait to check out all those old (and newer) beautiful boats.
