Beware of all that know her - The Martha Stewart of Yachting and Camping has scored a new pan - its a really cool big frying pan thing with holes all in it - will work super for cooking on a grill- I have a mission now, catch a pompano and put some bacon in that thing along with some seasoned pomp fillets and let the searing begin

PS She discovered on the island a year or so ago if you put bacon under the fish fillet it provides enough fat for excellent searing on a grill, which is hard without something. I hope I didn't over step my bounds by telling her secrets, I don't need another beating

Almost there. I need a good recommendation on a butcher and fish market. Need to grill some tuna tartar and pick up a slab of beef. Suggestions?

When Ken mentioned grills I immediately thought of that flaming monster you brought to Anclote - man that thing will cook, never seen a grill that would get that hot, I spent more time trying to slow it down than anything - good score

I will remind everyone again- the biggest problem we have at these is TOO MUCH FOOD-everyone wants to contribute but everyone brings enough food for themselves anyway-and if you bring more than you can eat storage becomes a real problem-so don't bring too much and plan to take home what you can't eat- get my drift- except Ken, shrimp will always be consumed

Brian,

Depending on your route, there is Petty's which is on Babcock just north of US 192 in Melbourne, but parking sucks if you're dragging a boat. There is Green Turtle on SR 518/Eau Gallie Blvd in Indian Harbor Beach just before A1A. Or for convienence, there is a Publix in South Melbourne Beach right on A1A about 10 miles north of Long Point with plenty of parking.

Of course, if you want FRESH tuna, you have to go 75 east of the inlet to the "otherside"

Lloyd
