Just sold my inter 20- still have a Nacra 18square. These are some FAST catamarans, I definitely got hooked on speed! But there's no place for the fishing rods, so I'm either in the Seacraft or the Maritime, and the cats just sat the last two years....

Hey, getting back to the gathering. What is the usual format? Does it go more than one day? What kind of stuff do you do together? Where do you meet?

Paul,
Since there has only been one gathering, it's still a work in progress. Back in '03, some of us met at a boat ramp in Portsmouth by the Navy yard (forget the name), dropped the boats in and did some fishing first. Other guys were already out in their boats doing other things. We then all rafted up at the jazz festival late morning and hung out for a few hours. Late that afternoon we headed back to Trayder's house for a cookout.

For this year I would suggest the same format, assuming Trayder's house is the cookout spot again.

Down here in Jersey we've had two get togethers. We met up had a few beers, talk boats, knitted a few sweaters, dressed Finster in a skirt.. opps sorry....If the weather was better we might have tried fishing or just cruising around....

Yes, Back to the subject....

Same format as 03, Plan for a raft up off of ft adams for either the Jazz fest or the Folk fest. We need to figure out which one, both are fun just on different weekends, the folk fest will be the 5th - 7th and the Jazz fest is the 12 - 14th.

Figure some will fish Sat morning, come back to the fest for a raft up 2-5 hours then back to my home for a cookout in the afternoon - evening.

Again i have plenty of parking and can arange for more if needed.

Which weekend would you all prefer?

August.

I vote for the jazz fest weekend. Better chance on getting into some bonito or albies.
