Sea Ray Laguna Center Console.
Can anyone help me understand what the differance is between a seacraft and a sea ray center console? A Marina has a 1995 24ft Sea Ray CC for sale with twin 130 Outboard Mercs on her. The price that they want is $19,000. I'm in the market for a good CC boat that I can fish offshore from time to time for bluefin tuna. I need to venture offshore approximetly 42miles for the big ones.

Re: Sea Ray Laguna Center Console.
2 entirely different enchiladas. I've been on a 21 Sea Ray laguna and it was a nice boat but it's a whole different set than the SeaCraft.
SeaRay is a cruising boat company that once also built decent fishing boats. Seacraft is a fish boat company that occasionally built weekenders. Seacraft: SeaRay:

John,
Thanks for your knowledge re: Sea Ray vs Seacraft. I'm tempted to drive to see the Sea Ray but I don't want to make a major mistake. Rich

It's not a bad boat but it's not a Seacraft either...

Re: Sea Ray Laguna Center Console.
SeaHorse:
My current boat is a 1992 Sea Ray 21 center console with a 200 Merc. I've put 200 hours on it in the last year and really love it. I've crossed Lake Ontario (65 mile crossing) a number of times and have pretty much seen all the conditions the Great Lakes can throw at you. As luck would have it, I stumbled accross an '89 SeaCraft 23 center console with a 200 Yamaha. I bought it without a sea trial and brought it up from Florida. I finally got it on the lake in big water and was astounded at how much better the ride was! It was like riding on air! The Sea Ray is a terrific boat, but no contest on this subject. Come on up to Rochester and I'll be pleased to take you out on both. It won't take long to find out... Regards, Otto
