Finally got around to gel coating the inside of the boat. I now have a great deal of sanding to do.

Great job. What grit of sandpaper(s) will you use? Wet or Dry?

That looks great!
Like Otto say's "what grit would you use"...I know I've gone from 400--600--800--1000---2000 and then polishing compound and wax.
But that was when I was young and had time( no wife and kids,...lol).

Chris, I will be there this weekend, trying to install kitchen cabinets.

The boats on this site all look so professional.

Is the four kid theory kinda the opposite of the four boat theory?

Pat

I wonder what the “Bud factor” is for sanding all that gel coat and then compounding and then waxing my guess is at least six 6 packs.

I support the one boat theory but using it 4 times more often. This theory could even save a marriage or two.

Pogpen,

You bring up a good point. I think the 4 kid theory is in direct opposition to the 4 boat theory. When your kids are under 12, you can get away with it. After 12, you have to lose one boat every 2 years until they're 18. That puts you down to one. Of course, If you store the others off site... (my family only ever sees 2 of 4)

After the kid's are 18, you can have as many boats as you can afford, but if they go to a good 4 year school, you're kinda screwed.

My advice for those with young kids: make as much money as you can now, it only goes 1/2 as far as you think it will. Finish your classic SeaCraft, get it paid for and take good care of it. Oh, yea, be REALLY nice to your wife and parents so they'll watch the kids while you're landing the big ones and downing several breakfast of champions.
