Default Seacraft Hull Years

I was wondering if you knew the years when Sea Craft had problems. I believe it was in the late 80's when they were bought out for awhile and they were making boats that weren't up to true Seacraft standards.

I found a 1986 23' in Pompano Beach for $15,500 with twin 175's I was wondering if anyone has contacted the owner on this or if I should pass based on the model year being a 1986.

BradentonSC- After 1979 until July 87 SeaCraft was owned by CSY. After 7/87 Tracker bought and still owns it. That 1986 should be right up to Potter Era quality and the proud Tracker boat owners would argue anytime that quality difference has been professionally verified to be in the hardware, but not in the hull integrity . I also noticed that 86 23', not bad horse power! My .02 cents-get a survey and if you can live with the issues, buy it and sell the motors and repower. Are you working on the 2 boat theory or is the 72 23'being sold?

No I'am not a player on the two boat theory, I sold my 76 23' yesterday and saw this boat and was curious about it.
