Gents-
A friend of mine is selling "MANGO" a 1977 (could be a 1976; not sure) 20' Seacraft I/0. The outdrive is in good shape but it needs a new 4cyl mercruiser. The hull is the original light blue gelcoat. $3,000 (no trailer) Call 978-465-1282.Boat is located in Newbury, Massachusetts. |

I don't believe it is sold yet. My friend who owns it called it to thank me for posting it on the site...I guess he got a few calls already. I also posted it on traderonline last night too.
The guy that owns it, runs a boat restoration shop in Newbury, MA and just doesnt have the time to restore it. He is so busy doing warranty repairs, awlgrip jobs, and bigger restorations over the winter that he just can't squueze this one in. I really think it would make a good project boat. Plus I would much rather see it wind up in the hands of a diehard Seacraft fan from this site who would appreciate it then some yahoo off the street who wouldn't. |

Believe it or not, I miss working on my 23 (although running it is better).I wish I had room for another project boat. The 20 I/o would be a cool setup when your out alone or with say one other guy and space isn't a consideration. How do you guys think that thing would run with the biggest tweaked out small block you could get in her?

Anything more than 270 Horse would be death to an Alpha One...
However, a good compromise, put a 4.3 V-6 in it with a 4BBL, MSD Marine ignition, stronger cam, 225HP, 4 stroke reliability ... (serious cutting to fit that motor in it)

I took some photos of the 20' Seacraft I/O on Saturday. I hope to have them scanned in by later today.
