Hmmmm....you think my insurance company would like it if I added another Suzuki 225 to my transom??? Let's see....450hp...on a boat that is rated for 250hp....I DOUBT IT.

Great engine though....cheap price too. John R. loves mine because it putts along at 300rpms...great for trolling.

Well,.......not having any Suzuki dealers in my area at all, what are these motors worth? I gotta believe between 10,000 to 11,000? Just a guess. The ad says he has 10 of them for sale. How many guys out there have Suzi's and do u like them? I was thinking of re-powering mine with a Merc, or a new 250 yamaha.
Any reply from Suzuki owners would be appricated.
Thanks

Looks like he is liquidating stock ...and asking to cover his cost..... He’s also got a counter rotate 225, 140 4 stroke for 7,900 , a 115's plus a bunch of used boats

not to shabby

I've got a 1998 Suzuki 225 EFi with 427 hours on here. About a 100 hours are from me.....the rest from the previous owner.

No major problems that I know of, but I do know that previous owner filed an extended warranty claim for something (maybe something with lower unit???). The best part is...with these Suzuki's you can purchase an extended 7 year warranty through Suzuki/GE Capital. My 1998 model is warrantied through August of 2004.

I would buy another one in a heart beat. The only downside is that this is the last year for the Suzuki 2 strokes....next year they will only be making 4 strokes.
