Default new to forum, wanted to say hi

proud owner of a 20'1976 cuddy with a 175 johnson ob. I have owned the boat for about 8 years now but the last 3 have been out of the water due to my wife's illness. i have been tossing around the idea of selling it but i just can't bring my self to do it. Thought this forum may help me in my quest as to what i should do. Chip away at the things that need to be repaired and keep it or fix what is nessary and sell. Wife doesen't want me to sell it but it makes me sick to see it sit there. too many great memories. I love this boat as i'm sure most of you feel about yours. Any suggestions will be appreciated. thanks, paul [image][/image]

That actually looks like a 20 with a 25 windshield.

FIX THE BOAT AND GO FISHING is what i have been telling myself. To everybody who loves to fish "keep the painted side down and bait on the hook" Thanks again, paul

DO NOT SELL YOUR SEAFARI!

That is a true classic and the boat Bill Potter himself choose to renovate for his personal use. We all hope and pray your wife make a full recovery so that many more fond memories can be made in the future.

If the last thing I do on earth is take a ride in a 20' Seafari, I'll be happy...

To everybody who has wished my wife well, i thank you. Today we are going to fox chase cancer hospital in phila. to schedule another opperation in her continuing re-construction after a double mastectomy. This will also be her 19th opperation. She also has had kidney cancer and the removal of one of her kidneys. And to make things worse, next week we go to jefferson hosp. to have test on her remaining kidney that has an infection and doesn't seem to be getting better.I just got her out of a hosp. in south jersey a couple of weeks ago. She was in because the infection was so bad it raised her temp. to 105. Scared the hell out of me. So as you can see money has been directed in other areas and the boat has to wait. I would like nothing more to be out in my boat, fishing around the beesleys point bridge than heading out the inlet for about 3 miles just keeping ocean city in sight. Looks like the dream is going to be put on hold for another summer. But that's ok. Not many people have the opportunity to have two dreams. One in the house (great wife) and one in the back yard (boat). I think i'll keep both.
PS; if anybody wants to know "poluea" in hawaiian means "sea sick". Good story behind that, but you would have to ask my wife if you ever get a chance to meet her.

poluea,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife. It sounds like she has a rough road ahead, but here's to her pulling through. Keep the SC, it'll be there when you (and your wife) are ready to use it again.

God bless.
