Is this a 23 or 25 footer? Never mind, 23' once I saw the picture. Looks like a twin to mine. Is it stern heavy with twin 150s?

I don't feel like its stern heavy as it has the 25" transom and I never had a problem with water intrusion, I believe the older models had 20" transoms...I think the stern heavy problem is with the center consoles because there is so much more weight closer to the stern...Anybody who is interested i am willing to listen to offers as i just lost my camp to Hurricane Rita and am ready to sell.

That has been my take on the Sceptre vs the CC models. The CC's seem to be stern heavy with twins, unless it's on a bracket. The Sceptres tend to be bow heavy with a hardtop, with a single engine. I have only been on one Sceptre with twins and a hardtop, balance was pretty good. You can move some stuff around to help, but that seems to be pretty common.
BTW, nice looking boat. |
