CORRECTION it's a 20' bought from orig owner-PIX!!

OK, sorry about my newbie mistake. In my previous post I assumed that I was about to purchase an 18' CC from my parents neighbor. Well, my dad just test drove the boat, signed the papers, and handed over the check (screamin' deal, by the way).

Turns out, as many of you indicated, the boat is a 1977 20' CC. This boat is extrorinarily original, as the pictures document. There has been but one engine change in the early 90's. It is phenomenal that the boat is even around, as it has been through countless storms hanging from davits on the open bay. However, the hours are low, as the owner has two residences. He winters in FL & summers in Connecticut. Every year for 30 years he has come down to Florida and the SAME MECHANIC has serviced the boat the entire time. My dad says it runs well, has a new dual battery setup, and of course rides great (I am living in Pasadena, CA but will be visiting FL in March).

Here's a funny tidbit-on the sea trial, my dad noticed that it was difficult to steer to the left. He also noticed that the motor was trimmed all the way down, so he asked respectfully to the owner if it steered more easily when trimmed up. A blank look ensued; turns out the guy had NEVER TRIMMED UP THE MOTOR IN 30 YEARS of running the boat. Incedentally, it did steer easier...

That dash will come back with some oil or anything even though its plastic or something. The motor will clean up nice with some Yami spray paint too.
