I really like the bracket Bigshrimpin made for his boat. Does anyone know where you could possibly get a set of plans with all the demensions and lay-up for a floatation bracket that would work on a 23cc?. I'm willing to shell out a few bucks to eliminate all that figuring. Thanks!

I'd have to go and measure it again. The numbers I remember off hand are 17"H for the front face, 23"H for the back face, 13degree transom angle, 20" on each side of the bottom deadrise. Width is either 36" or 38" at the bottom, and 38" or 40 at the widest point, and then tapered back in at the top to 36" (not 100% sure). 26" is the distance from the front face that mounts the boat to the back face of the bracket. Platform width is 72" x 24" . . . I think we angled the platform in about 3" and rounded the edges with the inside or outside of a roll of blue 3m masking tape.
There is a real tricky measurement that strick walked me through with the cap. Make sure you account for the thickness of the glass on the tapered sides of where the motor mounts. |

Thanks Guys,
Sounds like I,ll have to use my noodle. Or, pay someone else to skin the cat!! It is good food for thought while day-dreaming at work. Sea-ya. |
