Seastar helm rebuild?
Has anyone ever rebuilt a seastar helm or know where to get info? I looked, briefly, for some info on the net but was unsuccessful. Thanks for the help.

Re: Seastar helm rebuild?
i rebuilt a helm. it was not seastar but i think they are the same thing now. i think it was a hynautics helm? but it was pretty straightforward. i would not worry. the seal kit came with pretty decent instructions.

Re: Seastar helm rebuild?
Just a little food for thought.
I once rebuilt a Seastar. Paid for the kit went through all the work and it came out great. The following week I went to a boat surplus store and saw a brand new unit for less than the rebuild kit. Go figure...Just check around first then do what works best for you

try and google your helm type hh5271, hh5272 etc. you should get enough info or what kind of kit you need.
