Default 1970 Seafari 20' (LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!!)

Hello to all that read!. I am the proud new owner of a "beat old Seafari 20'. Any help on finding an owners manual, wiring diagram, parts (new gauge panal) and accessories? The hull is top notch just needs paint. Boat needs new wiring for sure.. Going to drop new motor into it, or should i make it outboard? questions questions. ANY help would be much appreciated. Pics are soon to follow. Thx to all in advance!!!

Welcome to the site!
"Beat" and "Old" are not words we use around here. The preferred are; Classic, Needs a little TLC, and weathered are probably good adjectives.
Try the home page for the manual and wiring info. I was able to get mine there. As far as changing things around on the boat? There are a pile of pictures here to look through, go to the photo page or do a search and you will have plenty of variations to drool over. Personally, I wouldn't make it an outboard. If for no other reason, the cost of the outboard is so much more (I'm a cheap SOB).

Hi Spark, welcome to CSC. You will find lots and lots of invaluable information on this site, also lots of opinions, backed up by wide experience.

I/0 or outboard is mostly dependent on personal preference and how you plan to use and maintain the boat. I've owned a Seafari 20, outboard(what a wonderful boat; you are going to love it!) and presently a Seafari 25, I/0. The I/0 is right for the 25, but for the 20, I personally would go with an outboard on a bracket, around 150 hp or slightly less. Of course, that's what I had, so I'm biased. In the 20, deck space and weight are at a premium and the outboard maximizes space abd minimizes weight.

Good luck with yours.
