Miami to Virginia
I'm looking at a 20' MA in Miami. It's pretty much a project boat but has a decent trailer. I'm trying to avoid a marathon trip from Va's Eastern Shore. Does anybody have any experience with shipping boats and approximate cost? Any thoughts ?

Re: Miami to Virginia
Heard some guys speak of this outfit. I've had no experience with them. Good luck.

Re: Miami to Virginia
If you use Uship, check the feedback carefully for the shipper, ask for an insurance certificate too, as many claim to have insurance but don't. I have used them several times for cars and boats.

Re: Miami to Virginia
Does the MA have an engine, or just boat and trailer? I've got some friends down that way I sure would like to see. I can make Miami in 8 hours, pick it up, head back up to Stuart area and stay the night. Return the next day. I could store it in my yard for you until it's convenient for you to come down. I've trailered my Jersey Speed Skiff from St. Michaels home in 11.5 hours, getting caught in some traffic in Annapolis/DC which is almost inevitable.
This would all be pending on quality/condition of trailer and covering the fuel costs. Just another route to consider. Part II. |

Re: Miami to Virginia
Yeah Vezo, It's just boat and trailer and the seller says that the trailer is up to the trip. I will PM you.
