This 1962 American Marc, Hull #505, is beautiful because she has so much history with her ... She was custom built by Carl Moesly, specifically for a dear friend in 1962... who passed away about a year ago. The boat has made several trips to the Bahamas and was used as a chase boat during testing of the new SeaCraft 21’.
All original paperwork included. Half way thru restoration: Hull solid, new cockpit floor & new alum tank, early 70's Volvo Pento I/O totally rebuilt/re-cored motor with a white lower unit (zero hours since rebuild, several years ago). Boat needs sanding, paint & all pieces put back together (no real fiberglass work needed) ... and then you will have a real classic that is titled a SeaCraft. Have seats, many extra parts for the motor, all the alum trim parts that were pulled off for restoration, and boxes of more parts. Bring your own trailer.

Carla, assuming this is an 18' perhaps this is a Clipper I model. Here is link of it within the product line brochure from 1961.

Gillie,
You're kind of right ... Clipper made by Craig Systems, same as American Marc. Here's the history write-up on the American Marc page on Fiberglassics website. -----------Begin Copy---- "In January 1960 American Marc made a deal with Craig Systems, Inc. of Lawrence, Mass. where Craig would make the fiberglass American Marc boat line for sale in 17 eastern states. In August 1960 Craig Systems leased a 50,000 sq.ft. complex in Haverhill, Mass. for the molding and assembly of the fiberglass American Marc boats. Meanwhile, American Marc was building a new boat factory at 2601 Manhattan Beach Blvd. in Redondo Beach, Calif. It was opened in April 1960 and a news article claimed it had the capacity to make 12,000 fiberglass boats annually. In February 1960 the company announced it would build a factory and showroom in Miami, Florida." ---------End Copy----- Notice the last sentence. That factory was built in Miami, Florida, by Arther Vining Davis, for building American Marc boats and the plant to be operated by Carl Moesly. As the boat building section of Am Marc out in California started going belly up, Moesly bought the Miami inventory ... and that's how SeaCraft began! RockDoc ... so ya wanna see the aft-end???? It's not the SeaCraft bottom ... But she was built after SeaCraft was incorporated, so to add confusion, the title says it's "SeaCraft".

Anyone interested?
I would really, really like to find a new home for her ... If you think the price is too high, talk to me. If you think the transportation is too far, let me know. If you think not having a trailer is a problem, maybe I can find one. ...... if you are slightly tempted ... let's talk! Thanks.

For $300 I would of thought someone would of snapped this up...the power train is worth a lot more than that.
Try posting on Fiberglassics.

Terry,
I'm hoping to find her a new home ... and will have to try other sites, but wanted to give my friends/csc members first "go" at her. Thanks for your support.
