1974- 20' sf
Hi all,
New to your forum but not to boating. I currently own a newer Sailfish 2360 center console with twin 150 Yamaha's 4 strokes. Over the years I've owned boats from 14' to 36'. Most of my fishing is in Long Island Sound, I live in CT. I've had my eyes on this Sea Craft for about 10 years. I left the owner my Phone # in his mailbox this past winter. He called we talked and I took the boat home last weekend. This will be a father son rebuild project with my 14 year old son. I opened up the transom, little wet, little rot which I removed. Ripped out every wire I could find. Today I removed the fuel tank, going to check for any leaks and replace all hoses. The last time the boat was in the water was 1988. It was loaded with acorn shells, dirt and chewed up pieces of foam from mice. The boat is cleaning up nicely, minor work through out. It was a steel for $300 bucks, it's a diamond in the ruff. I've never run a Potter built hull but had to have one, everyone say's it's one hell of a boat. I'm looking forward to learning more about the boat from the members here. Thanks in advance,,,,,, Finnatic Last edited by Finnatic; 04-30-2013 at 08:45 PM. |

I love my Sailfish, I.M.O the best bang for your buck . Good luck with yours. I also had a 21' CC now called 220 great boat. I got the fuel out of that nasty old tank today, 16 yr. old fuel 6 gals worth, what a smell. Taking a guess the tank must hold somewhere between 40 to 50 gals not sure.
