Default Fuel Indicator Light - SC 21

Hi All - I am a new user to this site and a new SeaCraft owner. I bought a 98 21 CC Master Angler with 150 optimax (original) that has less than 40 hrs.

Only had the boat a short time so admitedly I need some getting used to, but wanted to ask about a possible issue. I had the motor worked on extensively and it checked out fine a few weeks afo. On my second trip out, the fuel light stayed on and an alarm sounded about every 4-5 minutes. Now I don't have a ton of fuel in there, maybe 20-25 gallons of a 95 gallon tank so this might just be a low fuel warning, but i wanted to check with other owners to see if this is in fact a low fuel alarm or some alarm sensor for something else.

I am planning to put soem fuel in and maybe that will cure the alarm issue, but just not used to an alarm going off for low fuel so I returned back quickly.

Anyone else know if these boats have a low fuel warning?

thanks

If it's what I think it is, it's the "water alarm" from water in the fuel filter. Check and see if you have the screw on cartridge filter with the water sensor on the bottom.

Look like this?? Note part #22

Don's got it. Definitely a water alarm.
