Default no longer a classic

well after 27 years I just sold my 1970 Potter, 20 cc.... I was thinking of repowering, new transom, update electronics etc etc, but I am not getting younger ,So I just settled on a 1998 21 with a new 2015 200 Optimax, already updated from new electronics , Tee top . etc etc
I will miss the classic Potter bragging rights , but staying in the SeaCraft family

Maybe we need a new designation for the "New" classics? I'm running an '09 26 master angler. Looks like SeaCrafts have not been produced since late 2008 and I don't think there's much hope of them returning

Not as long as Tracker has the copyright and molds. You will not see any of the other boats Tracker made, like Kenner, when they bought the companies in the early 2000 time frame. After the 2006 - 2008 financial disaster looks like Tracker (Bass Pro Shops) consolidated the popular hulls/boats to a single name they thought would sell and everyone knew, like Mako.

As far as "Maybe we need a new designation for the "New" classics", I don't think that's gonna happen on CSC......

Personally I think we should embrace the newer boats here. There is no reason we shouldn't encourage bass pro seacraft owners to participate here.

WHAAAAT????
Ryan, We can't be droppin' our standards just because Joe folds up like a cheap card table and takes the easy route with Cash! This site is about Cabosil, Lay-up schedules, Coring, transom laminates, Vinlyester, Gelcoat, grinding discs, MEK, Epoxy and Thru-hulls and important stuff like that. Joe's got nutt'in to do but study his windshield gromits to see if they're tarnished!! You can't buy your way into a Gucci Award! (Well, without "cubic dollars") I don't know what this world is coming to.
By the powers vested in me as "Chief Troublemaker", I deem that henceforth Joe shall be referred to as Slacker II and he must "mold his life" after Slacker I (Fat man in the bathtub "GFS")!
Shoulda' done the transom, Bro'
