Default 28 years ago?

I was reading an article a couple of days ago about the No Name storm on the 12th and 13th of March in 1993. The Florida panhandle and west coast really got slammed and the storm tracked north to be a blizzard. The Florida east coast didn't get hammered as bad, but still got some high winds.
This high wind event coincided with the day I picked up my 23 SF. The boat was sold without a trailer and I had to take it up the river from Hobe Sound to Vero. It was quite the trip and I loved the boat from that first day. It was hard to sell my 18', but I now had a new love, the 23.

That storm hit us hard on the west side. I was a new journeyman lineman and worked non-stop for 3 days. We had some areas in Citrus county that were out for over a week due to trees down.

Exhibiting in a boat show. Water flooded almost up to the exhibition tent that night, wind blew in one end of the tent. I managed to get through the high water to the show and did not lose anything, but it was close.

My block home I purchased in 2013 in Hernando Beach survived. Evident at closing when I entered structure with a 48” waterline on every wall inside the home. I bid on the foreclosure strictly on the land value, planning on a total knockdown. Closed remotely, stopped at realtors office on my way to new property to pick up paperwork. “Oh, don’t forget your keys!” What?

Opened the front door... What a Bonus!!!
