No power to key switch or gauges
Went out a couple of times and boat started with zero issues.
Went Monday to crank it and let it run a bit but now I have no power to the key switch and the gauges. I do have power to the trim I've retraced all the connections checked the fuse box under the engine and nothing. I replaced the glass fuse next to the key switch Is there a hidden fuse I'm missing or what else do I look for? Yamaha 200 HPDI |

Without getting into how you checked power, did you try jiggling the throttle control.

Yes I played with the binnacle and nothing.
Even if it was accidentally in gear would not the gauges light up. I'm stumped |

I just quickly searched for the wiring schematic and the one I looked at showded the start in gear protection was on the positive side and the kill switch was on negative side. In the 17 years I've had my f225, it's the only things that kept it from starting on first crank. (Knock on wood)

You have a safety switch with the lanyard? I know folks who have had issues with that, sometimes it can be embarrassing something so simple causes problems! No need to ask how I know, my best friend messed up his whole day because he did not have it fully "connected". Yep his wife was not too happy, she has a short temper......good entertainment though

The safety switch is connected to the lanyard correctly
Had to stop because I was growing frustrated and was about to take a hammer to it. Maybe it's the key switch but it's brand new but even then no power to the gauges Tomorrow I'll go at it again |

[QUOTE=jorgeinmiami;272927]The safety switch is connected to the lanyard correctly
Had to stop because I was growing frustrated and was about to take a hammer to it. I like the Russian space program fix. Lol. Not Hope you find it. I hate retracing wiring not a good way to spend the afternoon. |

Just spend 2 hours retracing all the wires harnesses and connections, replaced all the fuses I could find and still nothing.
When I reconnected the wire that goes from the gas gauge to the wire that comes from the key switch it works.....3/4 of a tank and can't use it. Seems to me it's the key switch since it's the only thing that does not work. Hate to buy one to see if that's the case but other than that it's the way I'm going |
