Default E-TEC

Does anyone have more information they can share on Evinrude E-Tec's? From what I can gather, they are super light, 2 stroke ob's with direct injection of some sort. They are advertised as not needing maintainance for 300 hours! Have there been any boat tests? Any info would be great.

Briguy e-mail me your address and I can send you out a book them or stop by your local dealer to pick one up. Dealers do not know much more about them then the public does. We have learned everything about these engines from the same ads you read. It is a updated version of the current DI engines. They say the entire line up will be E-Tecs for the 2005 line up. Dealers should be receiving these engines in soon. We have a few on order and we are being told they should show up any day. This engine for sure will put a end to the 2 stroke, 4 stroke debate. This year the largest is a 90hp.

Like any other new product it's better to wait a few years. Let someone else be the crash test dummy.
