Original hand rail on 23' Seacraft's
Does any one know of a source for replacement brackets for the hand rail? I got mine off and could reuse the brackets but would like to go to
stainless if available. I have the boat totaly apart now and next week the new stern goes in. I did it from the inside, it was 75% rotten and I'm glad I did it. Took at least 100lbs of weight out.Being that its an inboard I'm considering one of the lighter core materials, any suggestions or good sources? |

Re: Original hand rail on 23' Seacraft's
My own preference but I like what Chris Furnari did with his 23. I think he used a comany called "E-Tec Marine" E-tec Marine Web Site for the rail posts and had a new rail fabricated. Its not SS but Alum is lighter and not that hard to maintain as long as you stay on top of it.

Re: Original hand rail on 23' Seacraft's
The hand rail on my 2000 Seacraft is Anodized - very easy to maintain, looks great, etc. My only gripe is how easy it scratches. I walked on my gunnels with a pebble in my shoe tread and tore it all up. (not too bad but I can see it so it wears on me).
