transom
I have a 20' 1974 Classic. I want to close in the transom. But I have a few problems. 1st I know nothing about how to do it, and 2nd I do not have the facility. Does anyone know someone in the Jupiter area who does this for a living? I would like someone familiar with the process.

Re: transom
Welcome to Classic SeaCraft Christer…..
A member of the board, HermCo, does this type work up in Jensen Beach (also has a link on the home page).....He even has some help from another member here that seems to have quite a bit of knowledge about SeaCraft boats Down that way you should have no problems finding someone who has the ability to do this type work .... Just make sure they know what they are doing |

Re: transom
Thanks, I will call Hermco on Manday and learn the details about his bolt on system versus a solid transom. Have you closed yours in and how did you do it?

Re: transom
No I haven’t ....At least not yet
If I do .. The Seamark "Potter" bracket would be the one I would use. I just like everything about it as compared to some others I have seen. Also I personally would put in a full transom and cap ( the boat would look like an inboard model from the inside) and then attach the bracket to the closed transom .....regardless of the bracket manufacturer.... Do a search on transoms and brackets ....there's a ton of info on this board that might help answer some questions you have….. |
