Looking for good locking deck hardware
Looking for a "locking" deck lift handle …. Something that will "flush" mount and is Stainless. For the fish box in front of the center console on a 23
I’ve seen these …. But wondering if anyone else has any other ideas This one looks good and heavy duty but with that, according to the PDF file, it sticks up 3/8” (again mounting on a deck hatch) Plus I’m not to sure about the locking mechanism on this one ... reminds me of those stupid luggage locks gemlux 2263 Looks better for low profile but I’ve not seen this one in person gemlux 1629 Anyone have any other ideas/recommendations??? |

Re: Looking for good locking deck hardware
Scott These folks have some nice stuff.
http://www.bosunsupplies.com/product...?product=L2155 Take a look at the one on the right. Now look below it and it has a pt# for locking. I've bought hard to find items from them. Good company to deal with and it's all 316 stainless. |

I have heard stories like that before. Even the breaking of an expensive fish box lid I hope yours wasn't the only fish you caught that day? It's tough enuff to hook up and loose a fish without seeing it but watching twenty pounds of dinner flip over the side would ruin my day for sure.

But when I think of the fish we used to bring back and what our friends from Japan would pay for them ....The fish is worth more than the boat !!!!! Kidding aside ...I'm using it for storage....Things seem to magically grow legs when you keep the boat in the marina |

Re: Looking for good locking deck hardware
Scott get you one of those Ugul Stick Billy Clubs. They are solid fiberglass and don't weigh very much. They will not mark the boat if they roll around or you miss. HeHe
They will damn sure do a number on a flopping fish. Hit 'em about 3 or 4 times in the head and they will not flop any more. I garon'tee as Justin Wilson used to say. |
