Default 23 inboard question?

Did the Potter 23 inboards come with either a straight inboard or a jackshaft i/o setup?

I was reading somewhere on this site that a guy with a 23 inboard had a jackshaft....and I was always under the impression that they were a straight inboard with a pocket in the hull for the shaft.

Ed,
They came both ways, with the jackshaft being the more rarer of the two versions. I believe the jackshaft was a CC-only option, whereas the Tsunami/Sceptre inboards came in a V-drive configuration.

Selling any more boats?

Hey Scott-

Thanks for the info...can't ever recall seeing a jackshaft set-up..hence my question.

Not including boats I sold at the show or right before the show..I have sold three boats.... one new 30' Marlin, one used 30' Marlin and a 23' Crownline.

Hey- what Furuno fishfinder do you have and how much did you pay for it? There is a guy on classic mako who is looking for one and I suggested yours. What is the name of that place that you ordered it off the net???

I have the Furuno LS6100 monochrome hooked up to a thru-hull 'ducer. It works really well and is easily viewed in sunlight. I get bottom readings all the way to WOT (34-35 knots), but shallow water (<6 feet) readings are not great.

I bought it from Dave's Marine Electronics - www.brokenlegdave.com - for around $260 if I remember correctly. That was without a transducer, plus being part of a package deal (FF, chartplotter, VHF).
