Default electrical question- step 12v up to 32v

Hey, Fellas-
I just picked up a 32v head (toilet) does anyone know how to step up the voltage from 12 to 32 volts? I would think that it would involve some diodes & solenoids..
Thanks for any input-Doug

I agree. You must have got some kind of a "Deal" to buy this?

But your not going to save a thing, trying to get 32V to it.

No, it would involve much more than that like transformers, rectifiers, etc. I would suggest you sell it and get NoDoze's unit that just came out of his Seafari.

You guys are right - I was thinking of jumping the positives, but that would only increase the amps. I didn't buy it- I'll have to keep the bucket around awhile longer... Thanks for the input.

Well, if you tie up 3 12V batteries in series, that is: positive battery 1 to negative battery 2 and positive battery 2 to negative battery 3 then you would have a 36V system, for 32 volts you would have to connect 4 8V batteries in series (trust me, I'm the factory technical manager for Club Car golf cars and I deal with this every day!). Remember, connect batteries in series to add their voltages but keep the same amps and in parallel to add their amps but keep the same voltage.

I forgot my basic physics! You guys are right - it's not worth the agravation. Any money saved would be lost on the batteries and charging sysytem. Thanks again-

You know, that's what's so great about this site, so many people are knowledgeable in so many different things that collectively we can handle almost any subject!
