Default Atlantic City Charter Recommendations

I have found myself in charge of arranging for a charter for 8-10 guys on Saturday, 10/6/07, in Atlantic City, NJ.
Thought I would call upon the knowledge of any CSC members
in the area for recommendations on a good boat/capt. This will be an inshore day trip, bass/blues affair (couldn't convince anyone to do a canyon/tuna trip). Ideally looking for a nice sportfish in the mid 40'- mid 50' range; this group will be more interested in kicking back and shooting
the breeze with a few cold ones vs. filling a boat with fish. Any input is much aprreciated.
Thank you,
Chris

Heck with the 40' Chris, jam 'em all on that sweet SeaCraft of yours. After a few brews they'all be buddies anyway

Chris,

Hope all is well with you.

Here are a couple of ideas.

First, there is a very informative Southern NJ fisherman's web site called http://www.thebassbarn.com. If you look at the web site, you will see a number of boats advertised that should fit the bill.

Second, either Finster or Don B should be able to come up with some recommendations. After all, Atlantic City is in their backyard. Stoney may hae some ideas as well.

Good luck.

Peter

Look for the Atlantic Star out of Kammermans Marina in AC- been in the area for many years-I think its a 46 or 48 Viking.

To all, thank you very much for the replies. This is a bunch of college buds that don't share my enthusiasm for a canyon overnighter.

Capt. Chuck, thank you for the kind words. I actually kept the SeaCraft out of the water this season. Some family medical issues would have kept me from using/fishing her much, so have decided to take this as an opportunity to do something really stupid like a total restoration/refit. I may be calling upon you and others here soon for advice on that.

Peter, thanks for the advice - will definitely check out the bassbarn as well. Hope the new boat is all you hoped it would be.

Oz - am googling for that one now. If available that would fit the bill perfectly.

Regards,
Chris

Chris,

I love the old "Water Rat" of yours. For those of you that are not familiar with this boat, check this out.

web page

What are you thinking of doing to the boat?

Good luck in AC.

Peter
