Here's a old shot along side the USS New Jersey BB-62 in the South China Sea August 1969. This ship was brought back into commission during the Viet Nam conflict.
The 16" turrets could be heard firing 25 miles away

I never served in the military as Pres. Nixon ended
Vietnam the year I graduated HS 1972..
My draft card was in my wallet and ready to go.
