1987 23' Sceptre
I recently came across and ad for a 1987 23' Sceptre project. That got me thinking about possibly letting my '81 Mako 17 project go and picking up the Sceptre instead...
From my research here, I'm aware of the fact that this is most likely a 1st year Tracker built boat and does not carry the same total quality as the Potter and/or Moesly built boats. That being said, seems like most owners of boat from this era are generally happy with them and the primary differnces appear to be in the quality of hardware used. That being said, how accurate of a statement is that? If I choose to pursue it, are there any particular things to look out for other than the usual (transom, decking, fuel tank, etc.). Thanks.
