Default 23' seacraft, w/225 4 stroke,performance?

I am looking at buying a 2001 23' seacraft w/ 225 yamaha 4 stroke. Is this engine too small? What kind of performance can i expect. Are the 2001 models great quality? Anything to look out for?

Thanks,
jdr

I have a 250F on my 23'. You should get speeds in the mid 30's and around 3 mpg consumption.

I've riden on Endured's 23. It has a good hole shot, and good over all performance. I have a 2 stroke 225 Yami, and the 250F on Endured is about the same hole shot as mine, and maybe a little better top end. Mine is 39mph by GPS at 5250 WOT.

Plenty of power unless you are looking to set some speed records
We run a 225 2srk and with 4 divers and 8 tanks, and gear etc still cruise at 30 no problem.
