Re: where to put washdown pump?
Check out the Rule Tournament series pumps, they mount directly on a seacock, and have a port for a wash down. The port is 'non powered', you will still need a washdown pump (or kit). Then you can mount your wash down pump anywhere, above or below deck. I am tucking mine under the transom cap so I can rinse it off with fresh water once in a while.

Re: where to put washdown pump?
On my Tsunami,I mounted the washdown pump on the starboard side on the transom in a vertical position, just above the seacock.I used a Jabsco pump.
It works great where it is and is easily accessable for any reason through a hinged access panel on the inner liner.I's also easy to drain it in the winter, just pop a hose off and let it drain any water into the bilge.

Re: where to put washdown pump?
I mounted mine under the front v-birth on My seafari, I used the hole from the old pottie discharge for the bronze thru hull

Re: where to put washdown pump?
I have a 1969 20ft SF and mounted mine on the inside of the molded rear seats. Previous owner mounted it on the transom, but that didn't hold up very long.

Re: where to put washdown pump?
ive got mine on the inside transom wall, port side. trim tab motor is on the starboard side. i mounted rod holders vertically on both sides and the hose conveniently sits in the rod holder while its not being used. i share one pump for livewell and raw water, which has obvious drawbacks, but i make it work. for what its worth, snapped the cheap plastic quick connect fitting last summer and spent two miserable months looking for it online before redoing it using quality brass attachments. 2 morals: it sucks not having raw water and dont use quick connect plastic fittings on a boat. pm me if you want me to email pics...
