Default Boat names ?

What and how did you come up with the name for your SeaCraft ?
I am having this decal made for our 1978 SeaCraft Seafari
My wife and I vacationed in BVI and our favorite place was at The Bight at Norman Island.
Great trip if you ever get to go.

Boats should be named after women because they're seductive and expensive to maintain!

Check out this source for boat names: http://www.boatus.com/boatgraphics/names.asp

I like your graphics.
My 23 Tsunami is named "King Temper"

Three boats ago,I had a 20' Starcaft named "Reel Easy".I Bought a larger 22' Trophy and because it was bigger my daughter suggested naming it "Big Easy".(hence my screen name)

When I finished the SeaCraft restoration I couldn't think of a name for it,no matter how hard I tried, and I was sure that I didn't want to use the old name of the previous boat,or take offs of it..
I had all kinds of ideas but none really hit home,so I decided to have a naming contest on another site I'm active on.

I told everyone that I would give a Daiwa line counter reel and an ugly stik rod to the person who came up with a name for the boat that I liked, and would use.
I gave all the pertinent history of my years with boats and situations, work, hobbies, etc., pretty much everything they could use to come up with a name.

I should have saved the replies, there were so many good and funny ones.I ended up picking one of the names that seemed to fit me to a t. and the name was *** "King Temper" **

I fish mostlly for king salmon, and I have kind of a bad temper.I've thrown more than a few tools, and one day even snapped a rod in half over my knee and threw it into the water.
I knew I had the right name when on one particular day we were having a terrible time getting the boat to line up right on the trailer.
It must have taken six or eight tries to finally get it right. All the time I'm yelling and using all kinds of four letter words.I'm sure I looked like an idiot.
Anyway I turn around only to see the woman who works at the registration building at the lauch just sitting there watching my temper tantrum.
I was so embarrased, and apologized for my outburst and the foul language.

She just said "Don't worry I hear that stuff all the time, but you sure gave that boat the right name"

I knew then that I ended up picking the right name.

John life is to short to throw a temper tantrum over loading a boat

You really need to pull the plug, and get yourself on down here to the land of sunshine...in no time flat it will pull all that negativity out of you and you will get Keyse like the rest of us transplants...

Looks like a proper boat name to me when running four downriggers.

I'm working on it Terry,I'm working on it. Looks like we're getting more snow this weekend.Unfortunately I have a few things to finish up here in the north,so it may be a year before I can actually make any move.
I AM!,however going to make it a point to take a few days and make a short trip to actually see what's available in my price range in the Sunshine State.

Great story Big Easy...now that's how to name a boat.
I like the rocket launchers on your boat they look very nice.

This has been posted somewhere before, but they say repetition is good.

Mine is called "Someday Came" Comes from a long time ago. We were anchored in a cove off Guana Cay in the Bahamas(where Nippers is now). There was one other boat in the anchorage, a not young, but very pretty, Hatteras sport fish. The boat had the patina of one that is much loved, used a lot, and maintained to perfection. There was and old, white haired guy in the cockpit, just messing around, fixing this, rearranging that. You could just tell that he was the owner and loved his boat. The boat's name was "Someday Came", and it sure looked like it had come for him.

My someday began to arrive the day I discovered CSC and learned that Seacraft had made a few 25 ft Seafari's, a long time back. I'd owned a 20 and knew the design was perfect for me, but how to find one? It was two years before I got my hot hands on mine and well worth the wait. There was no competition for the name.
