Default Tuna door

I am at odds on this .. I would like to build a tuna door in my transom on my 23 sf... Have you gouy done this on a bracketed boat before. I running twin 150 mercs 97 models two fuel tanks. Far foward. And my bracket is a seamount. Not hermco.. Aluminum. At 160 pounds.. The transom is laminated 3/4 ply with 1/4" foam. Then 4- 5 layers of 1708 total thickness of about 2.5".. I would like a flip top and swing out door.not a solid top and say doggy door

I forget the user name but one of the Cape Cod guys put one in a 23 inboard. Search the repairs/modifications forum and you should find it. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Also check the Hermco site in past projects. He had one he did with a tuna door on the port side of a SeaCraft and it was real nice.
