Everyone knows that CL, eBay, Boat Trader,Hull Truth, local newspapers etc etc etc...exits.
People wanting boats can do their own research to achieve their puchases.

This site is not to be utilized for a "Heads Up" tickler. It is not fair to the ones paying their fee for listings PERIOD. Bottom line, by posting ads from other sources in essence, you are using this site for promoting someone elses sales / advertising which does not enhance this forum.

Quote:
For Sale
SeaCraft boats and parts for sale. There is a $25.00 fee for the listing of boats. This fee is a one time charge payable via PayPal to [email protected] We operate on the honor system contact the webmaster [email protected] with any ?'s
Please do not post "BOAT WANTED", or the like, it will be deleted
"Hesds Up" = "or the like"

Thank you for your cooperation

Chuck

Chuck,
What if someone wanted to post a heads up and was also willing to donate $25 to the site in the process? Sort of paying for an add that's not your own?

We have a tough time now getting payments for members listings. It would really be too hard to monitor whose paying for what listing. We just don't have the time. Better the person placing the listing, pay for it... Monitoring links to other ads, sites etc would be impossible.

Look, nobody is spanking aynone here. These sticky rules have been in place for a long time. Admin should not have to continue to rehash them or justify their content....!

Those links take buyers away from ads from the folks that PAID for an ad here, the folks that SUPPORT this site.

Those looking to buy a SeaCraft use the site for free, as it always will be no issues, but the For Sale section on this site is a resource to those SELLING as they PAY. I view them as customers and as any of my customers know I cater to them and make sure they get the best service possible.

People looking for SeaCrafts know (or learn) to check here, CL, eBay, etc.

The for sale section PAYS THE BILLS for running this site, simple as that and I aint f'ing with it.

Sorry to sound as if someone pissed in my cheerios but sometimes I don't think people, understand messing with the For Sale takes $$ away that runs this site.

I hope you all understand it is for the good of the site. If you want to help the site, please recruit people selling their seacrafts to this forum. 3 out of 5 SeaCrafts listed on this site are sold due to the listing on CSC.

Regards
Jason

Chuck,
Thanks for your reply, and thanks for the work you do helping to administer the site. I will refrain from further beatings of the dead horse.
