Prop for 383 Mag Bravo One in Tsunami
I am in the process of finishing my 73 Tsunami and upgraded to a 383 Stroker with a Bravo One. I am hoping someone could help me with any info that has the same setup. The prop I tested only let the engine get to 4800 and would like to get 5000-5200. Any info on pitch, diameter, would be great.

I suspect you will need to give us the outdrive ratio for that. And if the boat has any extra drag or weight. Like big fishwells, or a top. Then the smart folks here can help you out.
Let us know what you tested as well. Nice engine! |

Yeah, give us the outdrive gear ratio if you know it. It should be stamped on the port side of the housing. Need the prop your running with pitch and diameter too. The prop info is more important. Also, were you running lightly loaded or loaded down? Not sure if the WOT rpm range is the same as for the 350 Mag MPI, but if it is, you want to be between 4800 and 5200. 5200 light and no less than 4800 loaded.

Welcome aboard 73tsunami,
What prop model did you try and what are its diameter and pitch? And what is your final drive ratio on the bravo? Not sure how many guys are running the stroker, but I'm sure a handful have the 350 with a bravo. Drop 2 inches if pitch and you should be in the ball park. Merc Mirage Plus in a 17p is pretty common on the 23 hulls.

Per Merc, the WOT range for your motor is 4800-5200 so if you were lightly loaded you should probably go down in pitch (if you have a 17 now go to a 15). Or you can try a completely different style of prop and see what happens depending if you are looking for top speed, cruising speed, economy, etc.

Im not running a Bravo so this may not be the info you need,, but if its any help Im running a 350 260 hp mercruiser with an Alpha drive with a 1.62 ratio on my 23 Tsunami, and found the best prop for my use to be a 15.5" x 17 pitch Mirage. It performs well across all rpms and speed ranges
I tried a few and this seems to be pretty close to perfect for me anyway

Thanks for all of the quick responses and the welcome. I think it is a 1.5 and have a top and arch on my rig. We were lightly loaded and just wanted to see what it would do since spent last summer restoring the boat. Doe anyone have the info on the diameter of the Merc Mirage Plus 17P?
