Default need lower unit for 2001 yamaha 250.

I am looking for a lower unit for a 2001 Yamaha 250. mine is making a grindy noise like a bearing is getting ready to go.

I might know of one for you. A buddy just had all new seals installed in his ox66 250 LU, only to find out that he had blown a head gasket. He's looking at repowering now. I don't know if he is looking to sell his LU, but I will ask him. He's in SE MA.

He likely will - he just had the whole motor serviced for the season too, & I'm not convinced it would be real hard to get it running again. Maybe hone the head & have a nice motor. Cylinders all held good pressure when they did the gasket, but it popped again & he's done.
