Default New to me hiliner 222

Not a seacraft but a cool ride nonetheless.... picked this up in the late fall. Does 50 mph with 5.7 vortec!!!

Eagerly awaiting spring to compare the ride to my old 23'.... gonna be a tough.ride to beat.

Ray Hunt design - one of the all time best - he designed it after he did the 31 Bertram and learned what was good and what was not so good. Notice the similarity to the Bertrams but 2 strakes instead of 3 with subtly different forefoot.

Awesome, thanks Pat and Tim! Tim, saw your hull on CL a bit ago.... would have been in my wheelhouse except I had just purchased this one. I'm having pangs about modifying it because it is MINT. really looking forward to getting it out in some snot.

Default Few More

Heres two more pics and hopefully some good fishing pics to come.

First ride with the first mate (she approves) and wrapped on the trailer. The wrapped pic really shows off the deep vee.

Perhaps this summer the pictures will morph into a CC hiliner!

FAS, I've always liked these boats. Any experience riding in them? The "gypsy" model seems to be everywhere, only the cc seems hard to come across.

Ed. Brown shrink was bought at a big discount (is used in commercial building application) have tried all the colors, blue white, Brown. There's green out there somewhere as well. Up north, the darker colors keep the air warmer in the boat! Snow melts off like a charm.

Great Hunt hull there! 👍 I have an on hold Gypsy 222 project. Finishing the 20 Seacraft 1st. Best of luck, let us know how the ride is. 😁👍
