Flotation bracket replacement...
C.L. Mattson or Stainless marine? Torn between the two to replace my existing bracket both companies will somewhat match my existing units bolt pattern as to not have to plug and re drill lots of holes in the transom. Mattson will install Stainless will not money is about the same. Thoughts and opinions appreciated..........

Don't know your budget or DIY drive, but I get the location logistics. Not clear on "somewhat match." Have you considered a Hermco bracket? Don has extensive understanding of SeaCraft modification...

Thanks, familiar with the hermco and know it is top notch. Problem being is I would rather not plug the twenty mounting holes already in my transom and the hermco being fiberglass can not be adjusted whereas either of the other companies can adjust theirs to fit by using the old one as a template for the mounting flange and by somewhat match I mean mine is pretty generic and theirs will be custom to my boat. pretty sure all three companies first rate, just curious of other peoples experiences with them......thanks

Colin Mattson has done a gas tank for me many years ago and for a couple friends, he and wife Robin are good people!! He also made a custom two piece aluminum A/C air handler safety pan using my specs, he said that was a first for him. He's been around forever! Good luck.
