It was 135 or 140 for the mid 80's 23's. The tanks extends all the way up to the front fishbox. There's no dry storage or fishbox in front of the console like in the potter hulls . . . it's all fuel tank

Default Ok I bought the boat and apparently it has a hole

I bought a 1986 23 and didn't smell gas in the bilge until after a 5 hour tow home so I'm 99% sure there is a hole in it does anyone have any advice where to find one or should I patch the one I have I have a friend that can weld aluminum

If it is a failure in the tank itself and not a fitting, I would STRONGLY suggest that you do not patch the one you have. If you do, you might want to make sure all your insurance is in order first. As far as welding aluminum fuel tanks that have had fuel in them - it can be done, but you really have to know what you are doing.
