Gel Coat color

Hello my question, is the blue / green color on Mosley built boats sea Foam green ? thanks ggreeby.

I guess an easy bow rider does not warrant consideration . The question was so I could keep the color as factory. I am just an old guy with several old boats. not a young how fast can I make it go type.

A little more detail would warrant a better response from the crew !

FYI: Trying to match 50 year old gelcoat will be a challenge to say the least ..

We are mostly all old guys too.

If I post pictures of faded / washed out gel coat how can it match the original ? what i was hopeing for was someone who knew what the name or code number was. I am not trying to match the faded color but redo in the original color. I am aware I can do any color I wish, what I wish is the original color. Thank everyone for trying to help.

There aren't too many bowriders around to compare, let alone the light green ones. There is one on here with an aluminum top though that I think was green. I had one but it was white hulll and cap. I use it for a freighter though so you wouldn't' recognize it as a bowrider.
Carl off set the chine a little on his SeaCrafts after he built the bowriders so they can be a little wet in a crosswind. Think about some spray rails before you paint, unless you are looking for an "exact" restoration. He did build the bowriders with a little extra bulbous forefoot in the VDH hulls so they will carry enormous amounts of weight forward without plowing. No matter how much weight I've ever put in the bow of mine it always comes up and rides "bow high" when running.
I think Gofast.... is right the original green hulls were a little lighter or pailer in color than "Sea Foam Green", but just a touch.
Ken's right too, a lot of us are older than dirt, but we have our "standards" and that's SeaCrafts. You just asked a question few can answer - 80% on here don't even know Seacraft built a Bowriders. In fact Carl Moesly's Seacraft "Bowriders" were the very first bowriders ever built in the boating industry. You might take a peek at Moesly SeaCraft.Com There's a couple on there.

I own a 1965 bow rider with mercruiser 150 hp i/o. My dad bought it new, and sold it to me in 1974. It was and is green. Dark green top side, light green hull. I have a can of dark green gel coat Carl sold us for touch up. Never been opened. I believe it has a label on it with color called out. I will dig it out and post. Give me a few days. By the way, it still runs great! I have thousands of hours on it. I was a sophomore in high school when we bought it. A fellow named David barefoot skied behind it for us. I recall he was a Marine, and friend of Moesly family.
