1972 seacraft 23

If I were to rebuild a 1972 23 seacraft (stringers, deck and transom), will the old 46 year old fiberglass hull still be strong enough to run offshore in rough weather? Will the hull be weaker or brittle due to itsnage?

That's very good to hear. That's a beautiful looking boat. I love the flat deck.

Potter and many other boat builders of that day had little proven knowledge of how strong fiberglass was and always made it a habit to overbuild if there was question. Potter era hulls that have not encountered and structural damage from impacts are a fine shell for a full rebuild.

What I found interesting on my old beater...was everything was stressed cracked out. EXCEPT the hull.
