What's your fuel mileage with that motor? Cruise speed?

Thanks for the comments. Sunshine Welding in Port Canaveral built it, I'm very happy with the job Matt and the boys did for me.

With my DF250, I'm running a Suzuki 3 blade 16X23 prop. At 3500 rpm, cruise is around 25 kts(29 mph), which is comfortable in a 2-3' sea. In calm water, 4200 rpm gets me 30 kts (34 mph). I top out at 43 kts (49 mph) with a light load.

I don't have a fuel flow meter, but I did a test with a 6 gal tank in calm water and got 3nm/gal

Sandy, there is a ray of hope I can make Long Point. I'll elaborate on the other thread.

Nice looking top Lloyd. I always wondered how the 23 walk around model rides. I suppose it is a s good as the sceptre. BTW are you the skipper for that yacht in the background of the first picture? If so can I climb up in the bridge and play with the bow thrusters?

I'm sorry to say I can't compare it to other 23 Seacrafts because mine is the only one I've rode on. I can tell you it's a lot drier then the 20SF.

As for the "yacht" in the background, I'm glad to say I don't skipper anything like that...they can have the "newlyweds, overfeds, and nearlydeads". But the yacht I drive does have bow and sterns thrusters, and it would be an honor to let you play with them. Just remember the key to driving larger boats...they are easy to drive, but MUCH harder to stop!

Capt. Not many of these boats around. Any idea on where to get some drop in boxes for the storage areas on the transom. BTW I have found every image of your boat on the internet I believe while I have been making the decision to pull the trigger on mine. What did you pay for that top?

Thanks for the comments. Good luck on the boxes, maybe someone else knows where you can find them.

As for the top, Sunshine Welding in Port Canaveral built it. Including the crow's nest and canvas, 2 years ago it was $3700 out the door.
