Default Creating list of 27' Seacraft owners - need your help

Hi everyone-

I am trying to compile a list of as many 27 Seacrafts as possible. Below is the list I could come up with. Feel free to make additions or corrections, particularly on boat names and current owners and locations:

No Bones: 19?? 27' Seamaster,
Todds Lures: 1986 27' Tournament, Central Florida
Ed: 1986 27' Tournament (formerly CuddySark), Maine
FlyingFrizzle: 1968 27' Racing hull
Kernel Tugboat: 1969 27' Custom Diesel Pilothouse, Cape Cod, MA
Brett: 1967 27' Seamaster (formerly Sea Mistress & ?)
CHDunagin: 1986 27'
CHarrisonFish: 1986 27'
Wmarthur: 1967 27' Flybridge
Milfly: 19?? 27'

Wondering where Fin Fighter is? Is this now owned by Joe F. on the Cape? How about the old Raw Bar? Or the new owner of the 1986 27' hull that was on craigslist - had a hailing port from Tarpon Springs, FL.

Thanks,

Ed

A friend of mine was going to have Metan restore it for him but decided to stick with the in-process resto of his 20 instead. I believe their 27 came up from South Carolina w/o power.

I almost wish I would of got that hull, it was a nice project boat in sound shape on a good triple axel. Hope dose something with it once he gets the 20'project done. If he changes his mind on fixing it up and decides to get rid of it tell him to contact me.

You'd want to contact Metan Marine directly about the 27 since my friend does not own it.

oh, If Metan owns it now I have no interest. I could of got if for a more than fair price when it was in S.C. but dreamed about it too long trying to jew him down even more and it sold to someone else. If have it they probably want to sell it as a buy it and we "will built to you likings". I thought it was purchase by a member up here and they posted about it and said they were going to fix it up? I will have to search for the post, Metan may of got it from them?

Ed,

Jeff McAnally, a good friend on mine, bought a 27' Seamaster NEW from Frank Brown in 1967 and cruised it all over the Bahamas for many years! Unfortunately he's not computer literate so is not on the forum, but he's extremely knowledgeable about the 27 and is a real gearhead and performance-minded guy, so can provide good advice on any inboard or I/O engine and performance issues. I did manage to get him on the phone with Brian (3rd Day) to discuss engine performance the one time I stopped by Brian's place on one of my trips down the St. Johns river. Jeff went through 3 different engines before he was satisfied with it, finally ending up with a 454 and MerCruiser II outdrive. He discovered a special low-rise Corvette intake manifold which reduced engine height enough that he was able to eliminate the engine box and have a flush deck over the engine! He said the only thing better than the 454 was TWO of 'em, so he finally bought a 28' Bertram with a pair of 454's in it that was a 50 mph rig! Bertram had never built one with those engines and refused to sell him one so equipped because they said it would screw up the boat's CG. Jeff said, "Fine, just sell me the boat minus engines, and I'll install 454's with aluminum heads, which weigh the same as a small block!"

I can provide Jeff's contact info to anyone that sends me a PM. Denny

Hello Ed,

I bet you can't wait for spring. Did you ever get to run the boat? You can Add one more 27 to the list, that would be the Old Fin Fighter. It is a 1986 Factory Center Console and will soon be powered with a Single 300 E-tec. It is owned by Captain Joe Fitzback. in Chatham, Ma (He has the Motor) All we have to do is re-do the fuel tanks and hoses, a little bulkhead work and it will be ready to go this spring. I am not sure what the name will be, I will let you know.
