Coaming Bolsters
I'm considering putting coaming bolsters in my 18 SF but I'm undecided on how long to make them.
Has anyone done this on an 18' and should they be just the length of the gunnel caps and end flush with the end of the caps or should they be full length and go all the way to the rope hatch at the bow ? Any pictures would be appreciated. |

Idea of a CC is to be able to fight fish from the whole boat not only the rear sooo yes it is very helpfull to have the bolsters around the complete boat to lean on

I realize that but with the raised bow deck the sides are too shallow to facilitate leaning against.

Mine was a 20sf haven't fished a 18 greedy more than once ,I'm -6'1" and have had two dolphin one in each hand while in the bow at the same time (gotta keep one one while you hook the other). And yes I leaned against the rail . Also can vat as a back rest if you do a cushion up there for the ladies
