this....the newer 21 was intro in 1998...it is not a 20 or 20ft 4 ..or anything like the 80 boats.. more deadrse .Dry without motor or anything in it its 2500 lbs. ad a t top, motor,rigging and some gas in the 95gal tank and you got some weight,,rated for 225 hp, you need at least a 200hp much like a 23... it is very much closer to the 23 than any other SeaCraft ...built in the Silver King plant...then in NC

I'd love to see a family tree with the various mutations shown...
Guess it pretty much starts with Carl's Si-Vad and race boats.
Original 1960's 21
19-20, 15, 25, 27, 23, 18, copies, derivatives, and?
Lots of chil'n out there.

The newer 20 was popped from a 69’ 20’ mild, the 21 is actually 20’ 4” marketed as a 21 and just assuming it was a new mold as was the 25 and 32, never seen anything about the 23

Great discussion thanks fellas. I think I've got both my questions answered. It appears that the newer 21 was redesigned from the ground up. One of the things that had me confused was that the literature lists the newer 21 as weighing only 100 pounds less then the 23 and drafting only 1 inch less then the 23. Everyone that has a post 98 21 has had nothing but great things to say about the boats ride. One of the reasons for my questions is I have a 23 here that is in great shape and I'm trying to decide what to do with it. Been toying around with the seacraft 21 conch idea. Please don't throw tomatoes at me lol

83 MA i came up with 19'6" (with the cap off). My 69 is 19'8" (cap on) just like advertised...
