Drying wet foam
Short of a major overhaul, does anyone have any ideas for draining/drying the foam between the stringers on a 20MA? I'm considering drilling a hole from the bilge though the stringer and into the foam space to allow it to drain. I'm thinking of using plugs in the holes when on the water, and removing them when on the trailer. Anyone have any experience doing this?

Re: Drying wet foam
Perhaps you put two deck plates (one between each set of stringers) in the floor as far to the stern as possible and then remove the foam under the deck plates all the way to the hull. You can then jack the front of the boat up and the water will migrate to the lower area where the deck plates are...you can use dry towels and heat lamps to increase the wicking/diffusion of the moisture. You could also leave the deck plates out when the boat is not in use (assuming you store covered or inside).
I used a variety of techniques to dry an old wet Whaler...never again...
